Mr. P.R.Rama Varma Raja is a unique and terrific personality who has made singular contributions to the development of the state. He was born in the Poonjar Royal family on 25 Sept. 1904. He married the sister of H.H. Sethu Parvathi Bhai Maharani, mother of Sree Chithira Maharaja.

His early education was in the Palace 'Padasala' where a Sanskrit tutor taught him. He was exposed to English education in 1981 at Trivandrum. He computed the intermediate come at CMS College Kottayam. He proved to he an all rounds when he joined the Presidency Collage Madras in 1926.

In 1929 he took up the management of Poonjar Edavaka. Later he entered the
Travacore Government Service as a clerk in the Secretariat. He was later appointed as
the superintendent of vernacular records. In 1935 he became the Assistant Commissioner
of Devaswams. In 1950 he resigned from service sold Nandancode Palace and settled
at Alakode.

Contributions He built the Nandancode Palace.

Mr. Kerala Varma Raja is a versatile genius whose interests and activities range from the
Tanthra Sasthra to photos. He was born on Feb. 26, 1921 in to the Royal family. He is the
 younger brother of late Col. G.V. Raja and Alakod Raja Sri. P.R.Rama Varma Raja.
