Mr. M. M. Jacob      

Mr. Jacob, the former Governor of Meghalaya hails from Ramapuram, near Palai. He started off his career as a national organiser of Seva Dal. He succeeded in elevating the activities of the Dal to a global level. He later became the Central minister of State for Parliamentary affairs and also Home Affairs.

The most beloved son of Pala, Mr. Mani has the record of being elected from the same assembly constituency 9 times consecutively. He also has the distinction and record of presenting the State budget a maximum of 8 times.
            
The word Pala has became synonymous with K.M. Mani. Its during his reign that Pala got a face lift. The new block of the Government Hospital, the Civil Station, the MACT Court, the Modern telecommunication facilities are all his contributions.

Mr.Jose K Mani

Jose K Mani was elected to the Lok Sabha for the first time in 2009 from the Kottayam Constituency. Among the country's younger parliamentarians, he is a native of Pala in Kottayam District, Kerala.

Former Chief Minister of Kerala - served as minister for Electricity, most popular and ideal leader among political leaders. He was the son of Kesava Pillai Padayatt at Kidangoor.
