The relentless service in establishing and maintaining charitable institutions for decades made his name venerable among people of all cast and creed in Palai and Kerala. Orphanages like BoysTown, Girls Town and centres for destitutes like Snehalaya, Karunalaya are growing in number. He was born on 16th April 1914 in village Kozhuvanal was ordained priest and offered his first Holy mass on 21 December 1939.

Born in Ramapuram in 1952, he has been a Member of Parliament several times. Presently acting as Congress Committee President of Idukki District and President of Idukki District Bank. Spouse is Valsamma.
